Dr Patricia Laborda EBVS® European Specialist in Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging Patricia graduate in Veterinary Medicine from the Cardenal Herrera-CEU University (Valencia). In 2005, she completed a rotating internship at the Ludwig Maximilliam University Hospital in Munic, Germany. After working for some time in a small animal clinic in Spain, in 2006 she obtained a scholarship to pursue a doctorate at the Institute of Animal Science and Technology of the Polytechnic University of Valencia. She defended her master’s thesis in 2007 and her doctoral thesis in 2011. Between 2010-2012, she worked as an associate professor in Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging at the Cardenal Herrera CEU University. From 2012 to 2015 she completed her residency in Diagnostic Imaging at the Small Animal Teaching Hospital of the University of Liverpool, where she remained after residency as a professor and radiologist. Since 2016, Patricia has been responsible for the Diagnostic Imaging service at the Veterinary Hospital of the Catholic University of Valencia “San Vicente Mártir” and she is a professor of Diagnostic Imaging at the same University. During the last years she has developed her research activity in the clinical use of CT for the study of cardiac pathologies.
Dr Yilin Tan  BVM&S MSc DipECVDI MRCVS European and RCVS Recognised Specialist in Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging Dr Yilin Tan is from Singapore and moved to Edinburgh to complete her veterinary studies at the University of Edinburgh R(D)SVS. Following some time in a busy referral hospital in Singapore and general practice in the UK, she undertook a rotating internship in a private specialist hospital before an imaging internship at the University of Liverpool. She completed her ECVDI residency at Edinburgh and is a Diplomate of the European College of Diagnostic Imaging. She recently obtained an MSc for her postgraduate studies undertaken in conjunction with her residency. She is passionate about teaching and is working towards further Higher Education Academy qualifications.
Dr Philippa Weston EBVS® European Specialist in Veterinary Diagnostic ImagingPhilippa graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2015 before going into first opinion practice in the south of England. After undertaking both a multidisciplinary rotating internship at Southern Counties Veterinary Specialists and a specialist internship in Diagnostic Imaging at the University of Liverpool, she completed her ECVDI Small Animal Diagnostic Imaging residency at the Willows Veterinary Centre and Referral Service in 2021 and gained her ECVDI diploma in 2022. Philippa returned to Liverpool as a Senior lecturer in February 2023.
